I was on my way home from work the other day, waiting for the CT1 to come at the MIT stop. If you haven’t read it, MIT’s campus is completely wireless, and not only is it wireless, but they have a map you can go to to find out where there are free desks to sit at, or even track where people are using WiFi (invasion of privacy? I’ll leave that to the ACLU).

Anyways, I was finishing up some work work using MIT’s wireless network, because it is open to the public. I hadn’t shut down my laptop when I boarded the bus, so when I sat down and the bus started moving, I thought hmm … I wonder what other networks are out there. So I scanned the airwaves for WiFi networks, and this one was of particular interest:

This was at the corner of Mass Ave. and Boylston St. Now I just need to find out who is giving them for free! ;-)
